About Qatar Duty Free Qatar Duty Free is an award winning subsidiary of Qatar Airways, the national airline of the state of Qatar and currently operates at the Departure, Arrivals, VIP and Premium Terminal of Doha International Airport. As one of the fastest growing Duty Free operations in the world Qatar Duty Free will move its operations to the New Doha International Airport by the end 2012. The role of the Executive Head Chef requires the day-to-day management of multiple food & beverage operations, located within our new airport terminal, NDIA, ensuring consistently high standards of production, service and hygiene are met at all times. Responsibilities will include P & L, menu planning & development, quality assurance, purchasing, production & training, resulting in the delivery of an exceptional, internationally benchmarked food offer. The Executive Head Chef will have an obligation to ensure that menus evolve with cultural & regional aspirations, global trends and changing passenger profiles, so that the food & beverage offer consistently remains innovative and fresh. Further, the Executive Head Chef will need to possess a working knowledge of international cuisines & the latest concept brands, with particular focus on patisserie and bakery production. The successful candidate will be an excellent communicator, a strong leader whilst possessing exceptional presentation skills. Ideally you will be already be working at an executive level with 7 years plus, job related experience with international hotels, restaurants, airports or international master franchises within a multimillion dollar turnover environment. A Degree in food production and service with a health and safety certification and experience in HACCP implementation is a must This is an excellent opportunity to play a key part in ensuring that the continued five star customer services that our customers have come to expect is operationally maintained.
