Safety. It comes first, second and last at Virgin Atlantic. And because we’ve implemented practices that go way beyond regulatory standards, we have an outstanding safety track record. But there’s no room for complacency, and we’re looking to add a Flight Safety Manager to our Crawley-based team. With broad experience in airline safety or a regulatory background, it’s a great chance to impact safety at one of the world’s most iconic airlines.

You’ll act as the customer champion for safety and security, while promoting a ‘safety first’ culture across the business. You’ll investigate any incidents, proactively carry out risk assessments, and ensure that any regulatory changes are communicated and implemented. Our Flight Safety Reporting Programme, Flight Data Monitoring Programme and Fatigue Risk Management System will all come under your wing. In a nutshell, you’ll support the continuous improvement of flight safety to give our customers and staff peace of mind.

Your flight operations background will ideally include experience as an Aircraft Accident Investigator and it would be useful if you hold, or have held an ATPL. Most importantly, you must be able to embrace change, see the bigger picture on safety issues, communicate with a range of internal audiences and inspire a dedicated team of professionals. You’ll also share our belief that safety makes sound business sense.

As well as the chance to take on a new role that you can evolve, you can expect first-class rewards that include a superb staff travel benefits package.
