  Cargo OCC Officer will be responsible for :   Representing QR Cargo as a part of the key decision making team within the OCC to improve operational efficiencies and customer service in the QR network by centralizing and pro-actively monitoring the planning, payload and communication of irregular operations. Ensuring punctuality and safety of all Qatar Airways operations to achieve optimum utilization of Cargo Space on QR flights through efficient planning of space, monitoring payload, immediate connections and coordination with inter departmental personnel to contribute directly to the amount of revenue generated on each flight.   Specific accountabilities include :   ·         Being the airports "advisors" within the OCC (Constantly monitor the state of the operation and alert both Airport and Space Control Teams of potential issues) ·         Ensuring correct and timely two-way communication to all concerned (Ensuring that all information that may cause irregular operations is communicated to all concerned in a timely manner to ensure proper proactive actions plans can be developed. Ensuring affected airports and cargo space control team communicate regular updates). ·         Evaluating the upgrade proposal sent from Space Control with the OCC aircraft swap tool to make sure a minimum of 20% margin is covered over the operational cost. ·         Preparing and delivering detailed briefings and updates as required within the Space Control/HUB & QAS Operations (Detailed briefing of status of warehouse facilities and resources to all concerned) ·         Preparing of comprehensive reports (Preparing reports of all Flight upgrades / downgrades /cancellations /diversions and payload reports for the Cargo Management) ·         Constantly evaluating OCC processes and manuals, suggest changes for improvement. Support in preparation and regular evaluation of Cargo Operations Manual. Making improved suggestions based on latest industry norms and standards. ·         Coordinating between QAS, QR & outstations on a flight delay situation requiring special handling/attention to ensure smooth movement of cargo. (Monitoring cargo movements whenever special handling attention is required).   Qualifications, Experience & Skills : ·         Minimum A-Level or Bachelors Degree is essential ·         5-6+ years work experience in a supervisory role of which 3-4years experience in the airline industry or a reputed GHA ·         Good knowledge of MS office and communication skills ·         Good understanding of Qatar Airways conditions of carriage and International Civil Aviation ·         Good Knowledge of safety and security procedures in accordance with ICAO and IATA and local authorities         About Qatar Airways   As the Middle East's only 5-star airline and one of the world's fastest growing carriers, Qatar Airways is dedicated to excellence in safety and in customer service, in the air and on the ground.  The company applies the same philosophy to its people by providing them with diverse career opportunities and continual development.
