Finance Supervisor — South Africa
Key responsibilities include : § Preparing, verifying and timely paying of all invoices per Finance policies and IAPs. § Performing payment analyses for all major expenses, including DOC. § Reporting major expense abnormal variances to finance management. § Ensuring that all sales invoices and debit notes are settled in timely manner. § Preparing bank and balance sheet accounts, monthly/yearly reconciliation schedules. § Maintaining contract documentation and records. § Preparing supplier/customer reconciliations and monthly cash flow / outflow reports. § Verifying monthly DOC accruals and other expenses/costs. § Updating QBIT rates as needed and when required. § Supporting auditors during outstation audit. § Training of new, junior staff. § Performing additional duties as needed. Required skills, education and experience include: § Bachelor Degree in Commerce from reputed university. § MBA in Finance or certificate in accounting including CA/ CPA/ ACCA/ CIMA/ ICWA § (5) years accounting experience in airlines, with at least (2) years in similar role. . § Proficiency in computers and in MS Office and in any financial based ERP system. § Strong knowledge of expenditure and revenue accounting with ability to analyze and explain financial/management accounts to both finance and non-finance audiences. § Exposure to contracts and local laws/regulations related to VAT, tax , payroll, etc About Qatar Airways As the Middle East's only 5-star airline and one of the world's fastest growing carriers, Qatar Airways is dedicated to excellence in safety and in customer service, in the air and on the ground.
