Aircraft Fitter - Light Aircraft / Piston Engines
Applications are invited from candidates with good general aviation experience, with at least 5 years experience, preferably on general aviation type aircraft (Beechcraft, Cessna & Piper etc.).
The successful candidate will be part of maintenance team and be involved in maintenance activities including scheduled maintenance, defect rectification and troubleshooting.
* To undertake maintenance tasks on the aircraft under the guidance of the company Certifying Engineers.
*To keep an accurate daily time sheet to record maintenance activities on each aircraft worked upon.
*To undertake parts requisition from the bonded aircraft stores.
*To use a computer to access and interpret CD Rom based maintenance data.
*To access and interpret maintenance data with the use of a micro fiche reader.
*To maintain a clean workshop environment at all times.
*To be prepared to adjust working hours and arrangements when necessary.
*Any other duties as required by the client.
*Experience in general aviation type aircraft (e.g. Beechcraft, Cessna and Piper).
*Knowledge of how to use aircraft maintenance data (e.g. Service Manuals, Parts Catalogues & Airworthiness Directives on both microfiche and CD Rom).
*Able to understand and interpret the requirements of CAA light Aircraft Maintenance Schedule and aircraft manufacturers' maintenance requirements.
*Be familiar with CAA & FAA Airworthiness Directive formats.
*Computer literate (familiar with the use of Excel spreadsheets, Word documents).
*Excellent communication skills both written and oral, with the ability to liaise with personnel in a manner conducive to good working relationships.
*The ability to work quickly, without compromising safety and quality of workmanship.
*The ability to work efficiently under pressure as part of a team and on own initiative.
*Be able to interpret and respond appropriately to verbal instruction and follow company procedures.
*To be well organised and have a methodical approach.
*Be adaptable and flexible to meet changing demands
This is a Temp to Perm role. Upon successful completion of a 12 week period, you will be employed directly by the client.
