As part of the Flight Operations Quality Audit team, this job is primarily responsible for the planning, preparation and conduct of audits and inspections. The job holder will also be responsible for the follow-up of corrective actions and the verification of compliance. The scope of audits includes all areas of Flight Operations (non-Flying) and suppliers, and this is meant to ensure compliance with GCAA CAR-OPS-1 requirements. Other responsibilities include the management of Q-Pulse (Quality Management IT System), the document control systems, training for increased awareness of Quality Management, assisting in ongoing management Evaluations, assisting operational sections in the development of process definition models etc.
- Development of Flight Operations Quality Audit and Inspection Schedules
The job holder will work with the Manager Operations Quality and the Lead Auditor in the development of audit schedules to ensure compliance with relevant regulatory and Emirates requirements.
- Development of process definition models
With the implementation of the Quality Management System across Flight Operations, there is a signification drive for all sections to develop process/ procedure manuals. The job holder will assist in process mapping, defining and developing procedures/ documentation.
- Training and briefing to Flight Operation employees
Assist in the development and delivery of training presentations on the Quality Management system across all Flight Operations areas.
- Document control systems
Develop and maintain an effective system of document control within Flight Operations Quality, also maintaining the local reference library and related documentation.
- Quality Audits and Inspections
The job holder carries out these audits and inspections as a fully qualified Flight Operations Auditor, responsible for:
Providing notification to the concerned areas being reviewed, and researching relevant reference documentation and airline specific regulations (UAE GCAA CARs, CAAPs etc.) so as to ensure that the audit is carried out against the appropriate standards.
Preparation of audit checklists based on the above and previous audit experiences from within the area. All audits are conducted in accordance with the Flight Operations Quality Manual, and audit procedures are based on ISO 9001 and ISO 19011 standards.
Conduct of the audit, finding definition, corrective action agreement and completion of Q-Pulse update.
Follow-up and verification activities.
- Administration and maintenance of the Q-Pulse system
Q-Pulse is the Audit Management IT System in use within Flight Operations Quality. The job holder is responsible for data management through the system, is primary system administrator and is expected to contribute towards timely system developments.
- Management Review
As part of the Quality System requirements, the job holder will be required to assist the Manager Operations Quality in convening regular management reviews, for the purposes of periodically assessing Quality System/ Flight Operations process performance. This will include, independently working with all line sections for resourcing, preparation and analysis of data into consolidated reports. The job holder will also require to undertake follow-up on action points assigned to attendees.
