Our customer works in very close partnership with the MOD on a number of exciting projects.
They are seeking a Shift Manager o join their operationbased in Oxfordshire.
Primary Job Purpose
To manage and co-ordinate designated Line and Base Maintenance activities and resources, in order to deliver aircraft maintenance operations in accordance with Company Quality and Regulatory Airworthiness standards and procedures. Working in conjunction with Maintrol for the development of aircraft recovery plans for AOG situations, technical delay recovery actions, and managing maintenance work orders.
The day to day Management of Line and Base Maintenance shift employees, ensuring the competence of all personnel, safety and welfare. Ensure employees undertake the required training to accomplish tasks and implement corrective actions to address quality deficiencies.
To promoting effective communication between maintenance personnel, Maintrol, operations and AirTanker Services management.
? Be responsible for planning, organisation, communicating and controlling shift line and Base maintenance activities.
? Responsible for Certification of Base Maintenance ( C Certifying Engineer)
? Responsible for the efficient disposition and use of staff under their control
? Ensure the quality and certification of all tasks and work to satisfy the requirements of company expositions, company procedures, and EASA Regulatory requirements
? Coordinate and control scheduled and un-scheduled Aircraft Maintenance in accordance with the required regulatory and company procedures
? Responsible to the Maintenance Manager or nominated deputy for the receipt/dispatch of Air Tanker Services aircraft in a safe an efficient manner.
? Co-ordinate as required, technical delay/AOG recovery actions with Maintrol.
? Ensuring that all technical staff working under their supervision perform their duties in a safe and correct manner and in accordance with the relevant documentation.
? Assuming direct control of documentation for aircraft under his control and ensuring that all required certification entries are promptly and correctly recorded.
? The control of any material or company equipment provided for the task and the cleanliness of the working area.
? Liaise and discuss technical issues and forthcoming scheduled inputs with Maintrol.
? Co-ordinate the ground movement of aircraft as required
? Responsible for delivering a safe service in all facets of the role in line with the requirements of the ATrS SMS, Quality and Environmental Management Systems. This Includes maintaining awareness of the company safety and quality policies and the applicable hazard analyses.
? Ensure that an accurate electronic shift log and handover process is maintained for all technical operations, aircraft undergoing maintenance and shift handovers
? Responsible for the allocation of tasks and manpower with regard to safe and efficient work load capacity planning.
? Develop and amendment of company procedures as required.
? Ensure that materials, tools and ground equipment are handled and controlled properly and efficiently, and that any tools and equipment under their control are fit for purpose.
? Active participation in the continual improvement of the ATrS Safety Management System
? Ensuring that service delivery KPI?s are met.
Knowledge & Experience
? Significant demonstrable experience in commercial aircraft maintenance.
? Demonstrable experience in a Supervisory / Managerial position
? Experience in both line/base maintenance environments.
? EASA Part 66 Licence B1 and/or B2. Including Cat C rating.
? Hold / Held Company Authorisations on large commercial aircraft.
? Full UK driving license
? A330 Type Rating endorsement on EASA Part 66 Licence
? Experience in working in a MOD environment.
? Previous outstation experience.
Due to the nature of the organisation, all employees of AirTanker Services are required to be security cleared to SC level. If successful in your application we would support you with the SC process.
