To develop and deliver the ground training for the RSAF Cadet Officers Intermediate
Phase in Airmanship and Aircraft Systems.
Teaching of Airmanship and Aircraft Systems in the Aeroscience Dept, in
Accordance with approved Academic Wing policies and departmental directives.
Administration of Airmanship and Aircraft Systems teaching in the Aeroscience Dept.
Supervise the use, maintenance, storage and reordering of Airmanship equipment.
Production and development 01 examination question banks, progress tests and end
Of course examinations. Invigilate Progress Tests and end of course Examinations.
Maintain accurate, up to date, comprehensive, orderly and easily accessible training
Review the latest Airmanship and Aircraft Systems training and testing materials, and recommend improvements in these to the Head of Department (HoD).
Produce approved amendments of Airmanship and Aircraft Systems syllabi, teaching
Materials and tests.
Write Lesson Plans for Airmanship and Aircraft Systems syllabi.
Teach Survival techniques, including demonstrating the use of survival equipment.
Demonstrate, on real aircraft, the practical use of aircraft systems.
Write class reports and individual cadet assessments.
Be part of the committee who assess the training standard of cadets who have failed
Their training overseas.
Meet Cadets to discuss, solve problems and stimulate competitive effort among them.
Counsel Cadets and issue wamings and disciplinary reports according to approved
Academic Wing and Departmental procedures.
Train Cadets in military attitudes and behaviour.
The Airmanship and Aircraft Systems Instructor will provide phased training to a total
of 700 Cadets. All Cadets must be instructed and graduate in Airmanship and
Aircraft Systems before they proceed to Flying Wing.
Airmanship Instructors will be highly experienced military aircrew with:
Minimum of 1500 flight hours.
Candidates should have recent operational experience as a military Pilot or
Instructor Pilot & should have taught Airmanship.
Successful completion of either a one?year Post Graduate Teaching Course, a RAF
Ground Instructional Technique Course or a comparable course (RAF OFI) is required.
All appointments in Saudi Arabia are subject to receipt of all necessary Government
