Structural Design Engineer - Aviation/Aerospace Location: Dorset, South West Contract: 6 MONTHS + Our client is an innovating and pioneering UK based aviation design consultancy approved by the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) and Ministry of Defence (MoD). An exciting opportunity for an experienced Aircraft Structural Design Engineer(Secondary) has arisen with a term of 6 + months contract. The ideal candidate will be able to support the lead of the design department in identifying requirements, liaise with clients on progress, cost and quality issues. You will also possess project/analytical management skills and the ability to multi-task both on your own and as part of a team. As well as being prepared to provide any engineering input into any technical contracts under review. You ideally will already understand structural compliance methods for the substantiation of interior products. Ability to be self-motivated and meet deadlines with little supervision. Knowledge of aircraft seating, interior components (e.g carpets, galleys, Lavs, partitions, monuments, floor and ceiling structures, and decor materials etc). Knowledge of CS25 and EASA 21 J Regulations would be advantageous. As a member of the design team you will be required to update details, assembly drawings and incorporate engineering change notes and so experience of AutoCAD packages is required, preferably AutoCAD LT .
