Start: 2nd April 2013 Overall Purpose of Job: Supervisor will oversee all mechanical aspects within the installation and production department and their certification Will be responsible for all mechanical aspects of customisations carried out by clients' installation team Review released work orders from planning and distribute to the relevant projects Allocate appropriate man power Maintain an overview of their projects to ensure they stay within budget and timescale Give regularly updates to the Installation and Production manager Interpreting manufacturing and installation data for certification purposes Liaise with internal & external customers, logistics and design office and foster good working relationships Main responsibilities Certifying role that requires an EASA Part 66 Licence in A, B1.3 and C category (Turbine Rotorcraft) Will be responsible for certification of all mechanical aspects of each modification The ability to work to high standards to ensure continued safe operation of the aircraft Working knowledge of EASA Part 145 and Part 21G Supervision of all mechanical aspects within the installation and production department Preparation of a/c to be flown under a Permit to Fly Produce progress reports for completed and outstanding work orders Prepare helicopters and their documentation post modification in readiness for initial issue of certificate of airworthiness or acceptance by the customer Knowledge and Skills Knowledge of engine and airframe systems and specialised test equipment Work with MS Word & MS Outlook. Produce detailed spread sheets using MS Excel Knowledge of SAP desirable Working knowledge of EASA Part 21 subpart G Responsibilities of creating EASA Form 1's Man management Good communication skills both verbal and written Experience 3 Years' experience in a certifying role Worked in an EASA Part 21 environment an advantage Other Requirements Flexible working attitude to deal with the changing priorities within the department Ability to work in an organic and evolving environment Able to work to own initiative Education, Qualifications and Special Training EASA Part 66 License Personality Requirements Methodical Team player Sense of humour Confident, prepared to question the norm If you are interested in this position then please call Jo Rand or Lauren McDonald on 01329 232221 or e-mail CV to firstname.lastname@example.org
