Zenon Aviation Recruitment is currently searching for a Finance Director on behalf of an international airline.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direction and guidance to the financial, accounting, and administrative functions
  • Oversee all strategic and tactical matters which require financial attention
  • Organise the training of the Finance Unit and other staff on raising awareness and knowledge of financial management matters
  • Introduce new procedures and software where necessary
  • Liaise with the CEO and COO in identifying new business and financial opportunities
  • Ensure adequate controls are installed and that substantiating documentation is approved and available such that all purchases may pass independent and governmental audits
  • Oversee the management and coordination of all fiscal reporting activities
  • Investigate cost-effective benefit plans and other fringe benefits
  • Develop and maintain systems of internal controls to safeguard financial assets
  • Oversee the production of monthly reports including reconciliations with funders and pension plan requirements, as well as financial statements and cash flow projections for use by Executive management, as well as the Audit/Finance Committee and Board of Directors
  • Develop financial and operational strategies
  • On-going development and monitoring of control systems designed to preserve company assets
  • Assist in formulating tactical initiatives for the company's direction
  • Monitor and direct the implementation of strategic business plans
  • Manage the capital request and budgeting processes
  • Oversee transaction processing systems
  • Perform overall financial analysis of operations
  • Oversee Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable and ensure a disaster recovery plan is in place

The successful candidate will have the following:

  • A minimum of 5 years financial experience and managerial experience
  • Knowledge of legislation, regulations, and rules governing work requirements
  • Ability to create and assess financial statements and budget documents
  • Communicate effectively both verbally and written
  • A finance related Degree or higher from an accredited University would be beneficial
  • Experience with introducing new procedures and software would be beneficial
  • Ideally a financial track record within the Asian markets would be a distinct advantage
