We currently have the following instructional vacancies at CAE Oxford Aviation Academy’s global network centre in Oxford, UK.

Chief Flight Instructor – Single Pilot Aircraft
The role of Chief Flight Instructor has become available for our JAR/EASA-Part FCL Approved Flight Training Organisation. Applicants must have significant experience in leading a team of highly skilled, professional ab initio flight instructors, as well as extensive experience as an unrestricted JAR/EASA-Part FCL flight instructor/examiner for MEP-IR training courses. A thorough working knowledge of EASA-Part FCL requirements is essential and ultimately be acceptable to UK CAA.

Experience of working in an air transport environment (airline or military) is also required for this key role in professional airline pilot training. Minimum requirements are current and valid JAR/EASA CPL/IR with at least 3000 hours TT, 1500 PIC and 1000 ME.

The successful applicant must have the drive and enthusiasm to both lead and further develop a very busy flight training department. You will already be a respected leader with excellent interpersonal skills and a proven track record of enabling change proactively, energetically and positively. Occasional foreign travel to our other training centres worldwide, especially to the USA, will be required.

Multi-Engine Flight Instructors
We require JAR/EASA-Part FCL multi-engine flight instructors to deliver advanced IR training, aircraft and FNPT, to cadets returning from the USA where they will have completed their basic training. Minimum requirements are 1,500 total flying hours with 1,000 instructional hours including 300 IF dual given.

Multi Crew Co-operation Instructors
We require pilots with at least 5,000 flying hours, 3,000 of which must be multi pilot, to carry out flight instruction and de-briefing to cadets on MCC training courses. Candidates must apply within three years of leaving an airline. Prerequisites include prior instructional experience, ideally as a flight instructor, excellent interpersonal skills and a desire to pass on skills and past experience to new recruits.

Ground Instructor
We are seeking to recruit a suitably qualifi ed individual, ideally already JAR/EASA-Part FCL qualifi ed, to join the Academy’s specialist ground training team in our ab-initio Training Centre at Oxford Airport, UK. Applicants for these posts must be enthusiastic about using modern technology and have a strong customer care and mentoring focus.
