Head of Finance
Our customer is the UK's leading independent aerospace company, specialising in aircraft maintenance, modifications and support services. Located at its airport HQ in Cambridge, plus with offices in Australia, Canada and Netherlands they are perfectly placed at the forefront of today's Aerospace industry.
Due to a period of growth they are seeking to appoint a head of Finance to join their team based in rural Cambridgeshire.

Main Responsibilities:
a. To co-ordinate and develop the short, medium and long-term strategies of the composite businesses in close collaboration with the MD.

b. Manage the extensive business reporting commitments including monthly reporting, KPIs, Board Reports

c. Prepare Investment cases for CEBC/Holdings approval liaising closely with MD/Infrastructure Director and Commercial Manager to ensure the BP/Master Plans and long term strategic plans are delivered.

d. Provide close support to Commercial and Sales functions to ensure commercial contracts achieve financial objectives, acquisitions are in line with strategic objectives and that scheduled services are managed within an acceptable financial framework.

e. To provide across business leadership and support to all managers with a particular focus on cost reduction, efficiency and delivery of financial targets.

f. To act as compliance officer overseeing the application of company governance policies and reporting periodically on such compliance to Central Finance.

g. To manage and maintain an appropriate internal control system across all business areas including external acquisitions to ensure the company is not subject to areas of unapproved risk or malpractice.

h. To manage and develop the Finance Function ensuring performance management and succession planning strategies are in place.

Qualifications and experience required:

Any of the chartered accountancy qualifications, degree level or equivalent education.

Has senior financial experience within a business unit P&L environment ideally with Airport / Airline or related aviation experience or a strong transport franchising background.
