United Technical Operations is the Aircraft Maintenance Division of United Airlines; we are currently seeking experienced Aircraft Maintenance Technicians to join our highly regarded team at London’s Heathrow Airport. This opportunity has arisen from the recent merger of United and Continental Airlines in preparation of combining all aspects of our operation in the new Terminal Two which is due for completion in Mid 2014.

The successful candidates will be responsible for carrying out line maintenance tasks on United and third party aircraft in accordance with laid down procedures and regulations. We operate a 24/7 365 day operation through rotating shifts to maintain company aircraft both at Heathrow and provide AOG support throughout the UK, Europe, Middle East and Africa .  

Candidates should be able to demonstrate an ability to communicate effectively at all levels and participate in a team-working environment.
 
A full clean driving licence, together with a willingness to travel and work a rotating shift pattern is essential.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant licences preferred. (consideration will be given candidates with suitable qualification and experience to allow them to attain an FAA A&P Certificate within an agreed timeframe)
  • An aircraft maintenance apprenticeship with an airline or an approved aircraft maintenance organization OR equivalent formal training in an Air Force, combined with 3 years post training experience in commercial aircraft maintenance preferably covering a least one of the following fleet types B747-400/B757/B767/B777/B787
  • An in-depth knowledge of maintenance safety, human factors and general engineering practices.
