A-SMGCS Systems Engineer and Team Leader

My client requires a Team Leader and a Systems Engineer with strong expertise, knowledge and experience in A-SMGCS Airport Surface Movement Guidance Control systems. The role will be based in Kuwait and will pay £4000 to £4500 a month plus accommodation, car and 30 days holiday per year plus public holidays, 1 return flight home annually is also paid for. Systems Engineer - ASMGCS

 Act in the role of Team Leader and Engineers Representative for all issues associated with provision of the ASMGCS

 Provide all required support to the Technical Systems Manager for this sub project.

 Review, update and enhance the ASMGCS system technical specifications to satisfy TOR requirements in full consultation with DGCA appointed designated engineers.

 Assist with tender question and answers process.

 Organize and run the ASMGCS bidder meetings during the tender process.

 Evaluate tenders.

 Make tender recommendations.

 Process contractor's submittals.

 Establish and maintain coordination procedures.

 Conduct and record contractors meeting minutes.

 Maintain all project records and documentation.

 Prepare and submit monthly progress reports.

 Negotiate variations orders with the contractor. As applicable, produce cost and time estimates associated with each variation.

 Obtain approval of DGCA to all contract variations.

 Process all progress payment claims

 Supervise implementation of the ASMGCS project to ensure compliance with the contract documents.

 Review contractors proposed training of DGCA personnel and supervise contractors training when required.

 Attend and witness factory acceptance testing of equipment.

 Review and approve contractor's schedules and updates to ensure no adverse impact on this and other related projects.

 Supervise preliminary acceptance and substantial completion of this project to ensure full compliance with contract documents.

 Prepare a final project report in accordance with the TOR upon preliminary acceptance / substantial completion.

 Verify all as-built documentation, operational and maintenance manuals are provided by the contractor.

 Process all contractors claims and disputes in full consultation with DGCA

 Assist with integration of the ASMGCS project into all other related components of KASP.

 Providing project team direction and controls in respect to all ASMGCS aspects of the project.

 Reports to Technical Systems Manager
