Serco are currently seeking an ATC Training Specialist for the development training area. The purpose of the position is to design and deliver development training programmes, including simulator training packages across ATC disciplines to meet operational requirements ensuring compliance with applicable timeframes, regulations and quality standards

Key Responsibilities
-Design and deliver training programmes across ATC to meet operational requirements
-Liaise with Operational Training Teams and assist in training needs analysis to continuously identify, define and monitor the continuation and professional development requirements of DANS staff members.
-Develop and deliver ATC entry and corrective training programmes
-Design and deliver generic ATC courses to develop and preapre ATCOs for specialialised roles within DANS.
-Integrate course material into various forms of delivery, such as on-line learning, pre-course work books and self assessment tests if applicable
-Deliver high quality engaging development training packages to ATC personnel in line with the applicable regulations and DANS training procedures.
-Update and administer the assessments for ATC entry and corrective training programmes
-Coach and develop ATCO Trainees on an on-going basis to ensure they are operating at the required standards
-Conduct Training and assments on English Language Proficiency for Aviation according to regulations and DANS training procedures
-Update simulator training packages (exercises and objectives) in line with any changes required in the AIRAC cycle change
-Function as the focal point of contact between the SIM Pilots and training department, capturing any training requirements or updates to the simulator exercises
-Ensure alignment of simulator training packages across all simulators with the use of clearly defined SMART objectives for each simulator exercise
-Assist with the implemenation of training initiatives for SIM Pilots and with a skills maintenance programme for the SIM Pilots
-Intoduce and oversee a internal auditing process to ensure quality control for all simulator exercises and objectives

Knowledge
-Degree / diploma in a relevant field from an accredited university preferable
-Further studies and / or qualifications in English Teaching and relevant to training, learning and development
-Successful completion of relevant ICAO courses
-ATC License
-English Language Proficiency Rating Level 6
-Completion of Classroom Instructional Techniques Course and OJTI course
-Knowledge of Safety Management Systems

Experience
-Minimum of 5 years combined ATC Experience in Aerodrome (ADI) and Approach (APS)
-Minimum 3 years demonstrated experience in training course development, design and delivery within a simulated environment is preferable
-Knowledge of ATC automated systems within a simulated Aerodrome and Approach environment is required
-Sound demonstrated knowledge of the AIRAC cycle is essential for this role
-ATM Auditing experience would be an advantage
-Experience as an English Language Proficiency Rater/Examiner is essential for this role
-Previous experience as a Rating Examiner in Aerodrome and Approach is preferable
-Completion of a Critical Incident Stress Management Course would be advantageous to this role

Skills and Experience
-Successful completion of relevant ICAO courses
-ATC License
-English Language Proficiency Rating Level 6
-Completion of Classroom Instructional Techniques Course and OJTI course

Experience
-Minimum of 5 years combined ATC Experience in Aerodrome (ADI) and Approach (APS)
-Minimum 3 years demonstrated experience in training course development, design and delivery within a simulated environment is preferable
-Knowledge of ATC automated systems within a simulated Aerodrome and Approach environment is required
