Boeings GoldCare aircraft maintenance product was enhanced in 2010 with an EASA Sub Part M Approval for its European market. The UK based Sub Part M team is now being expanded to take on more activity as the GoldCare portfolio grows in Europe. Several new UK positions have been created to establish a Technical Support Group to manage the front end Part M airworthiness management activity that is aligned with and close to European GoldCare customers. These new roles offer an exciting opportunity to be part of a team working on Boeings newest airplane, the 787, in addition to the GoldCare aircraft maintenance product.One of the roles we are looking to fill is a Technical and Airworthiness Support Engineer. The successful candidate will work directly with airline customers, Maintenance and Repair Organisations (MROs) and regulatory authorities to ensure that GoldCare engineering processes and procedures are understood and properly implemented. In addition, provide technical support for aircraft systems related operational problems and to be proactive in ensuring the continued airworthiness of customer fleet. He/She will also ensure that all Airworthiness Directives, Service Bulletins and all other technical documentation that could affect the continued airworthiness of customer aircraft are assessed and engineering orders or work instructions are issued to accomplish the recommended courses of action. As well as improve aircraft availability and system reliability of customer aircraft through active monitoring of aircraft systems and equipment performance. Key responsibilities are also to Provide comprehensive assessment all Airworthiness Directives, Service Bulletins and all other technical documentation applicable to customer aircraft; Produce Engineering Orders or work instructions to accomplish the recommended courses of action for the technical documents assessed by the team; Provide a structured approach to the resolution of technical issues; Provide trouble-shooting assistance for significant Aircraft-on-Ground (AOG), Out-of-Service (OOS) events or for specific requests; Produce work instructions to support troubleshooting activities or to resolve long term reliability issues; Provide repetitive and recurrent defect analysis to support the Reliability and Maintainability programmes; Establish and develop working relationships with system and equipment manufacturers to ensure continued airworthiness and to improve aircraft availability and system reliability; Develop and enhance processes and procedures to ensure and improve customer aircraft availability and system reliability.
Analytical Skills: Ability to collect, organize, synthesize, and analyze data; summarize findings, develop conclusions and recommendations from appropriate data sources internally, or with clients, customers and/or suppliers.
Customer Focus: Makes customers and their needs primary focus. Responds quickly to meet customer needs and resolve problems; assists other team members in implementing ways to monitor and evaluate customer concerns, issues, and satisfaction and to anticipate customer needs.
Engineering Analysis: Extensive knowledge of engineering analysis (e.g. mechanical, electrical, avionics, design, circuit, systems, stress, structural, durability).
Interpreting Engineering Data: Extensive, specialized knowledge of engineering data (e.g., blueprints, data sets, specifications, logic diagrams, electrical circuit schematics) to interpret, analyze, and develop data for support requirements.
Technical Aircraft Maintenance: Extensive and specialized knowledge of customer aircraft maintenance processes, policies, culture, and standard practices (e.g., return to service, normal duties/responsibilities, time constraints, available resources) in order to effectively represent the customer within the company.
Basic Qualifications For Consideration

Licenced Aircraft Engineer or Graduate engineer or acceptable equivalent. The successful candidate will bring airline technical services and support experience to the UK GoldCare team. Must have a working knowledge and understanding of commercial airline maintenance and engineering operations Must be knowledgeable of industry and regulatory agency requirements as applicable to the operation and support of transport category aircraft Must demonstrate a well-developed ability to communicate verbally and in written form.
