Jet Professionals, on behalf of our cleint airline in Asia, are looking for candidates for their following vacancy : General Manager Safety Security & Compliance.
The position is directly responsible and accountable for all day to day Safety Security and Compliance activities and will ensure that immediate and necessary measures are taken to mitigate all Safety and Security hazards, reduce risk, and restore acceptable operations. The General Manager Safety Security & Compliance will ensure support is given to all personnel in relation to safety security and compliance functions. Manage all coordination regarding all safety security and compliance activities with all other divisions and departments as necessary. Responsible for all safety and security programs (SMS, FOQA, LOSA, SecMS), safety and security reporting, and ensure all follow up on corrective actions. Ensuring all divisional and departmental ersonnel are accorded resource allocation management, risk prioritization of eports and response, and internal collaboration among a wide variety of personnel, departments, divisions and workgroups. Responsible directly to the MD/CEO in reporting, advising and making recommendations regarding Safety and security matters.
Responsible to the Board Safety committee regarding safety and security risk issues, and the health of the Integrated Management System.
Essential duties include:
Direct administrative personnel in fulfilling all departmental administrative processing requirements.
Collaborate with respective division personnel during safety and security investigations and incident assessments.
Ensure a solid and effective foundation of support for Compliance personnel, Operations leadership, Flight, Maintenance and Cabin quality, safety and security training and standards divisions.
Inter-divisional collaboration in incident research and research requirements involving sensitive topics, highly confidential safety and security data and reports, and safety and security issues potentially important to Corporate Headquarters.
Ensure support for the management and research of safety issues in all aircraft-related incidents, and perform analyses of incident and accident statistics to detect trends and patterns.
Periodically review statistical analysis of aviation accident data as well as special data retrievals and analyses to support safety studies and incident/accident investigations.
Facilitate a good rapport and working relationship with internal and external security providers.
Provide leadership, support and guidelines on the development or improvements to Crisis management and emergency response preparedness capability.
This position represents the client airline at industry safety, security and emergency response conferences and meetings. Strong presentation skills are required to provide internal and industry powerpoint presentations.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Competency in Aviation Safety regulations, Safety programs (ASAP, FOQA, LOSA), reporting requirements, and internal policy
Competency in the understanding of the Safety Management System concept and collaborative requirements to implement SMS.
This job requires excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Excellent project and program management and administration skills.
Presentation and communication skills appropriate for briefings for all levels of the Organisation including Board level.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Minimum 5 years of airline experience.
Flight or Engineering experience is preferred.
Experience with Safety Investigations or aircraft-related
Investigations experience preferred
A BS degree or aviation safety related training is preferred
