Description
We are currently looking for a candidate to join our team as Ground Operation Safety & Quality Manager
Location: Budapest

Duties and responsibilities:

  • performs monitoring activities on continued compliance of EU-OPS1 and that contracted ground operation activities, like passenger handling and aircraft servicing, airport ground operation, de-icing and fuelling are performed in accordance with the contract;
  • contributes to pre-ops audits for potential stations to be added to the network;
  • contributes to new station set-up and operational training;
  • leads ground operation safety & quality audits;
  • monitor industry legislation changes, quality and safety trends and risks that may have an impact on ground operations and, if required, develops revisions to ground operation and/or quality documentation;
  • co-operates in Wizz Air quality and safety policy and systems development;
  • ensures the relevant quality and flight safety information is promulgated to Wizz Air Ground Handling Staff and ground operation contractors of Wizz Air;
  • makes recommendations to the Head of Safety and head of Ground Operation Post-holder regarding continuing improvement of ground operation and it’s quality system;
  • maintains quality and safety records and manuals;
  • analyses the quality and safety performance of ground operation;
  • provides quality and safety training for ground crew;
  • leads (participates in) special projects and process developments in his area of responsibility, like bird management, new airport development, etc.  projects;

Requirements:

  • Fluent English speaker
  • Educated to Degree/University level
  • Advanced negotiation skills
  • Creative and proactive personality with „can do” approach
  • Leadership skills
  • Experienced with working to deliver company’s KPIs
  • Proven experience in the aviation industry – primarily operational, but also commercial
  • Airside Safety Awareness
  • Time flexibility and ability to travel
  • Advanced computer skills
