Competitive salary and benefits

A career with British Airways promises a chance to work with experts in an exciting environment and this certainly holds true for the person who will become our new Flight Operations Engineer.  It’s rare that an opportunity arises amongst this highly skilled team, which means you’ll be joining some of the best minds in the business.

You can look forward to a diverse brief that will see you working on an exciting range of aircraft. You’ll provide first class, safe and efficient technical support, as well as recommending improvements. Solving operational problems, reducing fuel burn and minimising costs will all be in a day’s work. Alongside this, you’ll ensure that the technical databases for Aircraft Performance, MEL, Airfields and the CIRRUS flight planning system are maintained to regulatory standards. You’ll lead projects and advise on the suitability of destinations by analysing our network, Air Safety and Flight Reports. Finally you’ll share your expertise by coaching new staff.

If you’re to be part of our specialist team then a background in aviation or mechanical/aerospace engineering is essential. Ideally you’ll already hold a similar position with another airline. Thanks to your analytical mind you can expertly dissect data – and then coherently explain your findings. A confident and clear communicator you’ll be a vocal addition to the team. Plus your natural curiosity and genuine interest will see you asking all the right questions from the very beginning.

If you’ve already got some answers for us.
