Aeronautical Charts Production

Produce adequate accurate timely and quality Charts used to complement or substitute text produced for AIP/AIP Amendment AIP Supplement and AIC documents for use by the aviation industry

Produce Aeronautical Charts and Maps as and when required by AIM/ANS

Verify Coordinate and discuss to ensure accurate portrayal of information on the Aeronautical charts and Maps

Quality check aeronautical charts/Maps to ensure that the presentation of information is accurate free from distortion unambiguous and is readable under all normal operating conditions

Technical Expertise on Charts

Apply cartographic principles like Visual contrast Legibility figure ground organization Hierarchical Organization and Balance

Knowledge of or ability to easily understand ICAO Standards and Operating Practices with particular reference to AIS Aeronautical Charting Air Traffic Services and Instrument Procedure Design

Charting Software

Expertly use all required cartographic software viz AutoCAD AutoCAD Map AutoCAD Civil 3D ArcGIS Adobe Tools

Continuous Improvement

Keep current and up to date with new developing cartographic and data management tools and applications

Adapt to Database driven Aeronautical charting system and process

Aeronautical data

Validate and produce supporting Aeronautical Data for text publication

Assist in AIS/AIM Database duties as required

* Experience Required

A minimum of 3-6 years experience in the CAD/GIS field using all required techniques

 Experience in aviation sector preferred

Experience in Database and spread sheet tools MS Access MS Excel

Experience in using Adobe publication tools
