We are currently seeking an Air Traffic Control Officer to work at Stornoway Airport which is part of the HIAL group. You must hold a an Air Traffic Controller’s Licence issued in accordance with the EU Commission Air Traffic Controller Licence Regulation No. 805/2011 containing an ADV (Aerodrome Control Visual) and ADI (Aerodrome Control Instrument) rating.  Ideally you should also hold an APP (Approach Control procedural) rating or be currently attending an APP (Approach Control procedural) course. 

You must also hold a current ICAO Class 3 Aviation Medical Certificate and a Level 5 English Language Proficiency Certificate.  A Met Observers Certificate is desirable but not essential.

You should be able to think on your feet whilst maintaining a flexible approach to working patterns which includes weekends and unsocial hours.

Salary during unit training will be £32,622 per annum.  Salary upon validation is from £37,281 rising to £46,602 per annum plus 12.5% shift allowance and a MET Observers allowance of £1,170 per annum.  An attractive pension scheme is also available to the successful candidate.
