We therefore invite applications matching the following profile to be based in our head office in Doha, Qatar. BUSINESS FINANCE MANAGERS These newly created positions are responsible for the preparation of financial and strategic planning, monitoring variance against budget, evaluating opportunities/risks and implementation of cost control for a part of the Qatar Airways group. As a leader you will assist team members in providing value-added, meaningful and insightful reporting and analysis for Senior Management. Key responsibilities include; · Accountable to present an objective view of the financial situation and provide sound recommendations for the allocation of resources to achieve business goals and objectives · Lead, direct and manage the preparation, execution and analysis of budget · Responsible to lead the business unit's strategic business drivers to determine investment allocation and creating business cases for proposed projects · Accountable for evaluating opportunities/risks by providing sufficient information to facilitate fair evaluations These roles require strong communication, presentation and relationship management skills as you will be required to develop a business partner relationship with the leaders of the assigned area of responsibility. To join our 5-star team and be successful in this role you will be highly commercially astute with strong analytical skills and the ability to review variances, understand the business cycle and their impact on the P&L account. Knowledge of cost centre accounting, preparing budgets and forecasts is essential. A university graduate with additional professional qualifications (CA/CPA/MBA), you will have a minimum of 7 years experience with at least 3 in a managerial capacity in a large multinational company.
