Head of Training and Checking for ATR42/72

Permanent, Location: Australia

CAE Parc Aviation are looking to appoint a Head of Training and Checking for ATR42/72 for an aviation service company based in Australia.

Responsibilities:

  • The safe and efficient conduct of all flight operations ensuring full compliance with the approved Ops Manual Volume 4 (Check and Training)
  • Representing the Company in discussions/audits/communication with the regulator in Australia (CASA) and appropriate industry bodies or authorities relating to flight operations and the companies training system
  • Providing the CEO with input into the business relating to flight operations and flight training, which enhances the business via increased productivity, cost benefits (but not at the expense of safety), and general senior management advice
  • Ensuring aircrew and cabin crew maintain appropriate CASA qualifications as required, including licenses and rating
  • Responsibilities for the company operations documentation Volume 4 Training and Checking
  • Recruitment and selection of flight operations personnel in close cooperation with the HOFO
  • Overseeing the contracted simulator providers, the assigned and approved company check pilots and flight examiners
  • Various other tasks as listed in the company operations manuals

Qualifications & Experience:

  • A CASA ATPL with a current rating on the ATR 42/72.
  • Approved CASA Flight Examiner rating for the ATR42 or ATR72 or able to obtain these approvals
  • A minimum of 1500 hours on the ATR42/72 in Command and 3000 hours total flight time
  • Strong organizational ability with a proactive approach and experience managing a flight and cabin-crew training system
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a flight operations or flight training management role
  • Proven ability to interact with key reports, operations control and crew planning, training and cabin crew
  • Proven ability to interact with key stakeholders - CEO, CASA and Cabin Services
  • You must be eligible to live and work in Australia
