Minimum requirements are as follows:

  • 400 hours PIC time on type
  • Total time 5000 hours
  • Multi-crew, Multi-engine jet time: 2,000 hours
  • Aircraft type:  B737efis and NG
  • Current within 12 months (must have a valid/current PC). Up to 24 months will be considered for experienced Captains.
  • Valid ATP license, valid passport, Class A Medical  (validity of 3 months upon reporting)
  • Must be from a country with diplomatic ties to China
  • No incidents or accidents, no license limitations
  • No significant medical history (grounding, major surgery, etc.)
  •  Age 55 maximum

Contract Term:  3 years

Domicile:  Xiamen, China

Salary amounts as follows (airline pays your tax in China):

Option 1:  42 days of paid leave per year

Total Monthly compensation:  $27,366 per month

Salary:  $23,200

Housing allowance: $1500

Ticket Allowance:     $500

Safety Bonus:            $24,000/year

Medical Ins. Allow.   $166

Radio Operator Bonus: $400

Cat B Instructor Bonus: $500

Overtime:  $300/hour over 900 hours/yr

Education allowance: $8000 per year per child, up to 2 children registered in school in China.

Renewal Bonus:  $15, 000 per year after the first contract. $20,000 per year after the second contract.

Financial performance bonus will be paid depending on company performance.

Option 2:  22 days on, 8 days off or 44 days on, 16 days off

Total Monthly compensation:  $26,266 per month

Salary:  $22,100

Housing allowance: $1500

Ticket Allowance:     $500

Safety Bonus:            $24,000/year

Radio Operator Bonus: $400

Cat B Instructor Bonus: $500

Overtime:  $280/hour over 900 hours/yr

Option 3:  19 days on, 11 days off…or 38 days on, 22 days off

Total Monthly compensation:  $14,066 per month

Note about Compensation and Taxation:
The compensation amounts listed above have been provided by the airline.  The airline has agreed to pay all taxes owed in China on the different compensation amounts and provide a tax receipt to the pilot. All tax matters are handled by the airline including payment of tax and provision of a tax receipt. WASINC does not pay taxes on behalf of either the pilot or airline, nor does it provide tax receipts.  As taxes in China vary by jurisdiction and the type of payment received, we highly recommend that all candidates confirm directly with the airline as to how much tax is paid in China in order to obtain a full understanding of the compensation associated with the job listing.  Pilots are ultimately responsible for any tax owed in their home country which may or may not be affected by tax paid by the airline.
